Mətləb Zülfiqar oğlu Əkbərov (2001-2020) was a soldier of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and a martyr of the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. He was born in Yenikənd, Siyəzən, Azerbaijan, and educated at the local school. Enlisting in January 2019, he participated in significant battles, including the liberation of Füzuli. He was posthumously awarded medals for his valor in combat after he fell in battle on October 9, 2020, during the military operations aimed at restoring Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
