Yosef (Yossi) Nehemia Schwenger, born on February 15, 1961, is an Israeli Haredi politician, journalist, and commentator. He was the first head of the Modiin Illit council from 1996 to 2000 and served as the CEO of the National Center for the Development of Holy Sites from 2001 to 2024. Schwenger was also active in media and political commentary. In 2021, he faced scrutiny following the Meron disaster, leading to significant investigations and recommendations concerning his management responsibilities.
