Ibrahim Abdel Shafee is an Egyptian singer and composer born in Alexandria in 1936. He began his musical career when Radio Alexandria opened, officially becoming a singer in 1954. He moved to Cairo in 1967 where he gained prominence as a singer and composer. His first song was for Cairo Radio. He was honored at various music festivals and was a member of the Musicians Syndicate Council. A street in Alexandria is named after him, and he is related to director Islam Abdel Shafee.
