السعيد الخيز is a Moroccan writer born in Taroudant in 1980. He earned a baccalaureate in modern literature in 1999, a teacher training diploma in 2001, and a bachelor's degree in Arabic studies in 2014. He won the Grand National Prize for Young Creators in Morocco in 2005 for his novel 'Sijin al-Hawamesh,' published in 2008. He has been a journalist and co-founded the 'Culture Papers' magazine in 2012. His novel 'Nostalgia for Love and Destruction' was nominated for the Arab Novel Award in 2015, and 'Ibn al-Silsal' won third place in the Tayeb Salih Prize in 2020.
