Georgy Petrovich Zarubin (1928–1995) was a Soviet doctor and scientist specializing in hygiene. He held the title of Doctor of Medical Sciences and was a professor as well as a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. Zarubin authored over 100 scientific publications, including ten monographs focused on environmental hygiene and the organization of sanitation work, notably on the conservation of water bodies. Notably, he was awarded the F. F. Erisman Prize in 1979 for his work on sanitary issues of water supply and sewage.
