Zaki Ali Abu Zarqa was a Palestinian militant born on May 12, 1963, in Khan Younis. He was one of the founders and leaders of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, affiliated with Fatah. He was killed in an Israeli missile attack in Rafah on July 30, 2004. Abu Zarqa played a significant role in the Palestinian resistance movement during the Second Intifada.
