Mikhail Danilovich Samusev was a Soviet and Russian industrial and public political figure, born on April 5, 1928, in Poliana, Amur Oblast, USSR, and passed away on May 14, 2019, in Yoshkar-Ola, Mari El, Russia. He served as the first director of the Yoshkar-Ola Contact Plant from 1962 to 1990 and as general director of the joint-stock company Biomachpribor from 1994 to 1997. He was also the chairman of the Yoshkar-Ola Council of People's Deputies for the 21st convocation from 1990 to 1993 and was recognized as an honored figure of science and technology in Mari ASSR in 1982.
