Galina Vasilyevna Smirnitskaya (born 1930) is a Soviet and Russian physicist and educator specializing in gas discharge solid-state and thin-film electronics, as well as high vacuum physics. She obtained her doctorate in technical sciences in 1972 and was awarded the State Prize of the USSR in 1984 for her distinguished contributions to the field.
