Tomás David Pérez Díaz, also known as Tomás San Gil, was an anti-communist rebel leader born on December 29, 1939, in Trinidad, Cuba. He became a prominent figure in the Escambray Rebellion after assuming command of the rebel forces following the death of Osvaldo Ramírez García. He was killed in battle against government forces on February 28, 1963.
