Christophore Areshidze was a prominent Georgian chemist, born on February 12, 1906, in Tskhinvali. He served as a member of the Georgian Academy of Sciences since 1969, having been a corresponding member since 1961. He earned his Doctorate in Chemistry in 1957 and was recognized as a distinguished figure in Georgian sciences in 1962. Areshidze was also awarded the P. Melikishvili Prize in 1974 for his significant contributions to chemistry. He passed away on December 28, 1982, in Tbilisi.
