Mohamed Abd El-Moneim Rokha, born on December 7, 1910, in Sindyun village, Egypt, is recognized as the first caricaturist in Egyptian journalism. He faced imprisonment from 1933 for four years due to his critical caricatures of the king. Rokha published his drawings daily on the front page of 'Al-Masry' magazine. In January 1984, he founded and led the Egyptian Caricature Artists Association. Many renowned artists graduated from his school, including Abd al-Sami' Abdullah, Zuhdi, Salah Jahin, George Bahgoury, and Mustafa Hussein.
