Majdi Halabi was a Druze soldier in the Israel Defense Forces who went missing for over seven years. He was last seen alive in his hometown of Daliyat al-Karmel on May 24, 2005. His remains were found and identified in September 2012 in the forest of Asfiya near the Nahal Hek. His disappearance and subsequent identification drew attention to the issues surrounding missing persons.
