Drago Samarđija was a Serbian military officer born on January 14, 1946, in Humići. He served as a colonel in the Army of Republika Srpska during the Bosnian War. He was the commander of the 17th Krajina Light Infantry Brigade from 1992 to 1994 and later led the 7th Kupres Motorized Brigade from 1994 to 1995. He passed away in Belgrade on February 16, 2021.
