Mahmoud Shabaan Ibrahim Mostafa, born on October 14, 1972, is an Egyptian Islamic preacher and assistant professor in the Department of Rhetoric and Criticism at the College of Islamic and Arabic Studies at Al-Azhar University in Kafr El-Sheikh. He previously served as a preacher in several mosques in Cairo. He was arrested by Egyptian authorities in November 2014 after an interview with journalist Wael El-Ibrashi on the program 'Al-Ashira Masaan.'
