Інна Володимирівна Оскнер, also known by her pen name Melnytska, was a Ukrainian writer and translator born on June 18, 1925, in Kharkiv. She became a member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine in 1997. Oskner was a participant in World War II and was recognized for her literary contributions with awards such as the B. Slutsky Literary Prize in 2001 and the Yu. Dolgoruky Literary Prize in 2006. She passed away on November 11, 2020, in Kharkiv.
