Lin Zhiping (July 7, 1909 – February 22, 1993) was a Chinese aerospace engineer and educator from Wuxi, Jiangsu. He graduated from National Chiao Tung University and later earned a PhD in aeronautical engineering from the University of London. He served in various academic positions, including the first president of National Chung Hsing University and director of the mathematics institute at Academia Sinica. He was also a professor at Virginia Tech. Lin had two sons, both of whom earned doctoral degrees, and a hall at National Chung Hsing University is named in his honor.
