She gained recognition as a popular vocalist, particularly in the genre of folk and pop music in Dagestan. Throughout her career, Shapieva was celebrated for her contributions to the arts, becoming the People's Artist of the Dagestan ASSR in 1990 and receiving the State Prize of the Republic of Dagestan named after Omar Batyra in 1995. She passed away on May 23, 2022, in Izberbash, Republic of Dagestan.
