Mordechai Ndebi, also known as Motke, was a notable member of the Haganah and involved in illegal immigration to Israel. He was one of the first commanders of the Infantry Corps in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Tragically, he lost his life on April 20, 1971, after stepping on a landmine during a patrol as a district commander, becoming one of the most significant casualties in IDF history.
