Brit Egaas Røen, born March 13, 1944, in Stavanger, is a former Norwegian politician who served as the mayor of Stavanger in 1993 representing the Labour Party. She was first elected to the Stavanger city council in 1983 and became deputy mayor in 1991. Røen held the mayoral office for 103 days. After the Labour Party coalition with the Christian People's Party ended, she later proposed the construction of a new concert hall in 1998, which was completed in 2012. Prior to her political career, she was active in women's rights organizations.
