Kyrychenko held the title of Candidate of Art Studies since 1970 and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences since 1990, becoming a professor in 1986. He was a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1993 and was the father of artists Ivan and Viktor Kyrychenko.
