Vasily Petrovich Kolesov (August 18, 1939 – February 20, 2024) was a Russian economist who served as the dean of the Faculty of Economics at Lomonosov Moscow State University from 1987 to 2012. He became the President of the faculty in 2012. Kolesov obtained a Doctorate in Economic Sciences in 1979 and was named a professor in 1989. He was honored as a deserving professor of Moscow State University in 2002 and led the Department of Economics of Foreign Countries and Foreign Economic Relations from 1986 to 2017.
