Jan Christian Ødegaard, born on September 20, 1960, is a Norwegian business economist, engineer, cand.scient., MBA, and brigadier in the Army since 2007. He graduated from various institutions including the Norwegian Army Technical School, Stavanger Engineering College, University of Oslo, BI Norwegian Business School, and military staff colleges. Ødegaard served as the head of the Defense Security Department from 2002 to 2006 and led the LOS program in the Armed Forces from 2006 to 2014. He was the Norwegian National Military Representative at SHAPE in Belgium from 2014 to 2018.
