He played a crucial role in significant operations during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and developed Palestinian resistance. He was in charge of the central operations unit until he was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike on May 12, 2023, in Gaza during Operation Protective Edge, which aimed at eliminating key leaders of the group.
