Аветисян Володимир Арташесович is a Russian literary scholar born on December 5, 1946, in Saratov. He completed his studies at the Philological Faculty of Moscow State University in 1970. Since 1984, he has been teaching at Udmurt State University, where he became a professor in 1990 and head of the Department of Foreign Literature in 1991. He is the author of the book 'Goethe and the Problem of World Literature,' published in Saratov in 1988.
