Євгенія Дмитрівна Божик was a Ukrainian prose writer, journalist, and social activist. Born on December 25, 1936, in Poland, she moved to Ukraine in 1946. A graduate of Lviv University, she worked for the regional newspaper 'Vylna Ukraina' and led a charity fund supporting orphans. Active in the National Union of Writers of Ukraine since 1978, she was recognized as 'Lviv's Woman of the Year' in 1995 and authored several books. She passed away on November 28, 2012, in Lviv and is buried at Vynnyky Cemetery.
