Anatoliy Vasylovych Halchenko was a poet born on December 15, 1935, in Luhansk, Ukraine. He graduated from the O. M. Gorky Literary Institute and worked as an editor at the Krynitsia publishing house, as well as serving as the director of the Poltava Writers' Club. He wrote poetry in both Russian and Ukrainian and is known for his collections such as 'Memory', 'Involvement', 'And the Bright House', 'While I Live', 'Back to the Circle', and 'The Stubble'. He passed away on December 3, 2011, and is buried in Poltava.
