Georgiy Oleksiyovych Haras (1901-1972) was a distinguished master of folk art in Ukraine, known particularly for his ornamental designs based on Bukovinian traditions. Over his lifetime, he created more than 1,500 patterns for traditional embroidery items such as towels, tablecloths, and shirts. His contributions also include sketches for postcards and greeting cards. His wife, Yevdokiya Haras, continued his legacy by creating a significant collection of embroidered household items based on his designs. A museum dedicated to his work exists in Vashkivtsi.
