Leonid Mykolayovych Kovalenko (born February 28, 1922, in Hermanivka, Obukhiv Raion, Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine; died July 10, 1983, in Kyiv) was a Ukrainian literary scholar and critic. He obtained a Candidate of Philology degree in 1954. Kovalenko was married to the renowned Ukrainian literary scholar and Doctor of Philological Sciences, Nina Lukivna Kalenichenko, who worked at the T. H. Shevchenko Institute of Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.
