He became a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2014 and a member of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1999. He holds a Doctorate in Agricultural Sciences and has been a professor since 1993. In 2002, he was also recognized as a foreign member of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
