Born on June 24, 1914, in Vladikavkaz, he served in the 1035th Infantry Regiment of the 280th Konotop Red Banner Infantry Division of the 60th Army. He demonstrated exceptional bravery and was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union after his death on November 20, 1943, in Beryozovka, Zhytomyr Oblast.
