He was a professor and specialist in economic-mathematical modeling and decision support methods. He served as the head of the Department of Higher Mathematics and Informatics at the Ukrainian State University of Finance and International Trade from 1995 until his passing in 2009. He was a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
