Yevgeniya Martirosovna Samundzhyan was a Ukrainian Soviet oncologist-endocrinologist, born on April 26, 1927, in Akhalkalaki and passed away on November 20, 1981, in Kyiv. She held the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences and was a professor. Samundzhyan was recognized as a laureate of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR in the field of science and technology in 1981, awarded posthumously for her contributions to medical science.
