Hryhoriy Ivanovych Semenchenko (January 24, 1914 - April 8, 1996) was a Ukrainian oral surgeon and professor at Odesa Medical Institute. An accomplished scientist, he served in the Finnish and Great Patriotic Wars. Semenchenko earned his medical degree from Kyiv Medical Institute in 1938. His doctoral thesis focused on the neurotrophic theory of osteomyelitis of the jaws. He established a prominent school of oral and maxillofacial surgeons and served as the dean of the dental faculty until 1969, contributing over 80 publications in his field.
