Dmytro Tasi, born Dmytro Mykhailovych Mohilyanskiy in 1901, was a Ukrainian Soviet writer and poet known for his contributions to Ukrainian literature and translations of Anton Chekhov. He was part of the literary association 'Workshop of Revolutionary Word' and wrote extensively in Ukrainian. His career was cut short when he was arrested by the NKVD in 1938 and executed for alleged counter-revolutionary activities, which positioned him among the persecuted writers of the 'Executed Renaissance.' He was posthumously rehabilitated in 1958.
