Valeriy Trofimovich Troshchenko (May 15, 1929 - November 30, 2022) was a Ukrainian scientist in the field of mechanics, a Doctor of Technical Sciences since 1966, and a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine since December 26, 1979. He served as the director of the Institute of Strength Problems named after G.S. Pysarenko. Troshchenko was recognized as a Meritorious Figure in Science and Technology of the Ukrainian SSR in 1964 and was a laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology in 1997.
