Evhen Tsyura was a prominent Ukrainian bandurist born on December 25, 1915, in Radomyshl, Volhynia. After completing his education at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, he worked as a geologist. Post military service, he studied conducting and singing at the Kyiv Conservatory, where he also learned to play the bandura. He joined the state radio bandurist ensemble in 1935 and later became the artistic leader of the Ukrainian Bandurist Capella. In Windsor, Canada, he conducted a youth bandura ensemble and served as a church choir director until 1996. He passed away on March 13, 2001.
