Apostol Kisyov was a Bulgarian folklorist and music educator, born on November 18, 1924, in Stoykite, Smolyan. He founded the orchestra '100 Kaba Gajdi' and worked to revive bagpipe music in the Rhodopes. Kisyov initiated folklore education, creating schools and conducting various ensembles, including a children's bagpipe orchestra. He was instrumental in performing at international festivals and was recognized for his contributions to Bulgarian folk music. Kisyov passed away on February 27, 2007, and is commemorated with a festival named after him in his home village.
