Khalil Shouqi (February 5, 1924 - April 10, 2015) was an Iraqi artist, actor, and director. Born in Baldruz, he was associated with the arts from an early age. He started studying acting at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad but dropped out after four years before graduating in 1954. He worked in the railway department overseeing film production, directing numerous documentaries aired on Baghdad TV. Shouqi was a versatile artist, involved in theater, television, cinema, and radio, founding and being part of several distinguished theater groups.
