فتحي إسماعيل إسماعيل أبو غبن (1946-2024) was a Palestinian painter and sculptor born in Harbiya, Gaza. He lived in Jabalia Camp and learned art through practice. Since 1965, he created sculptures with colored clay and drew with charcoal or pencil. Abu Ghabn participated in numerous exhibitions across Palestine, Arab countries, and internationally. He worked as a teacher, then became a consultant at the Palestinian Ministry of Culture. He was often referred to as the 'Van Gogh of Gaza.' He passed away on February 25, 2024, after a long illness.
