Mohamed Salah Eddin Mestawi (born 1952 in Tataouine, Tunisia) is the Secretary General of the Islamic Higher Council in Tunisia. His father, Sheikh Habib Mestawi, was a prominent scholar in Tunisia and the Maghreb region. He graduated from the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Zitouna and holds an advanced degree in Maliki jurisprudence. He is widely active in Islamic outreach globally and has authored numerous works in Arabic and French addressing Islamic discourse renewal, preservation of Islamic values, and contemporary issues related to Islam.
