Yasser Mahmoud Al-Aqraa, born March 5, 1972, in Homs, is a Syrian poet. He obtained a degree in Arabic Language in 1998 and a postgraduate diploma in 1999. He earned a Master's degree in Arabic Language in 2003 with distinction, with a thesis on love among poets of the Levant during the Umayyad era. He prepared a doctoral dissertation but was unable to defend it due to circumstances in Syria.
