Зафир Христов Йончев was a Bulgarian graphic artist and master of graphic techniques, known for his long tenure as secretary of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. He was a student of the renowned painter and graphic artist Veselin Staiков, and he contributed significantly to the field by establishing a graphic base in Samokov in 1973. In recognition of his work, he received multiple honors, including being named an honorary citizen of Samokov in 1982. Yohchev passed away in Sofia in 2006.
