He studied at a Romanian school in Thessaloniki and fled to Romania in 1927, later graduating from the University of Bucharest. He passed away on March 20, 1969, in Constanța. Caraiscu was known for his poetry, translating works of Mihai Eminescu and Octavian Goga into Aromanian to promote poetry among Aromanians. His poems were included in an Aromanian anthology in 1985.
