Стоян Бабеков (Иванов) is a Bulgarian musicologist, choral conductor, and composer born in Sofia in 1936. He graduated from the Bulgarian State Conservatory in 1952, studying composition and choral conducting under notable professors. For 29 years, he conducted the world's first professional mixed choir for visually impaired individuals, which was later named 'Академик Петко Стайнов'. After its disbandment in 1991, he founded 'Алилуя', a choir focused on Eastern Orthodox church music. He has received various awards in choral competitions and festivals.
