Fakhri Ashraf Muhammad Rifaat (April 23, 1928 - August 3, 2017) was a former commander of the Egyptian Navy. He held all leadership positions within the Navy and participated in modern wars involving Egypt, reaching the position of Navy Commander. He took part in all Arab-Israeli conflicts and was known for proposing the closure of the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which significantly disrupted supply routes to Israel.
