Janephop Jobkruwan is a prominent Thai archivist, scholar of Luk Thung music, and media broadcaster, born on April 21, 1955. He founded the Luk Thung Museum, the radio station Siang Silapin 105.25 FMz, and the Thai Studies Institute. He played a key role in revitalizing Luk Thung music on radio during the peak popularity of GMM Grammy in the late 1980s. In 2011, he was granted the honorary title of 'Luk Thung spokesperson' by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and is affectionately nicknamed 'King of Floral Shirts' by the public.
