He worked at the locomotive depot in Chișinău and was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor in 1966. Fotesco was recognized for his contributions to the railway industry and received the honorary badge 'Honorary Railway Worker.' He passed away on October 16, 1999, in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova.
