أمين ملحس (1923-1983) was a Palestinian short story writer and poet, born in Jerusalem. He received his early education in local schools and graduated from the Rashidiya School in 1940. He continued his studies at the Arab College in Jerusalem, graduating in 1942, and earned a diploma in basic education in 1954 from the International Center for Basic Education in Egypt. After being displaced to Iraq due to the Nakba of 1948, he moved between Jordan and Palestine.
