Revaz Zaridze, born on May 8, 1938, in Tbilisi, is a Georgian physicist and a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. He graduated from the Faculty of Physics at Tbilisi State University in 1962 and has worked on semiconductor issues and military projects until 1990. He headed the Applied Electrodynamics Laboratory at Tbilisi State University from 1981 to 2008 and has been involved with multiple overseas universities and research labs since 1991. His research areas include electromagnetic phenomena and their application to biological objects.
