Toqtasyn Ysqaquly Buzayev (born May 8, 1949) is a Kazakh military officer who attained the rank of Major General in 1995. He has been in the Armed Forces since July 1, 1967, and has graduated from the Higher Border Guard Command School and the Military Academy in Moscow. Before his appointment as the Commander of the Border Troops of Kazakhstan in 1997, he held various positions, including Deputy Commander of the Border Troops and Chief of the Auspicious Tasks within the Ministry of Defense.
